ATTENTION TO THE BUYER. Assembly now in Mexico.

BUYER WARNING. Assembly now in Mexico. Every Bilstein I've ever bought was made and assembled in Germany or the USA. The whole point of buying something assembled and manufactured in Germany, the USA or Japan is quality control. As an engineer, manufacturer and mechanic, I am aware that Mexico has low quality control standards. So I don't have a chance to use a shock made by an elite German company and assembled in Mexico. End. They will say that the parts are made in Germany and assembled in Mexico. I would agree, but shock mounting is actually a very important aspect of building a shock. I don't want people known for poor quality control to do this. If they would just chat to each other, fine. I can tighten the screws. I'll try to find some of these that were made AND assembled in Germany or the US. I'll update when I do. If not, then I have to switch to a different brand from now on. Sad after 20 years of using Bilstein.
