The perfect damper for my Chevy truck.

Not too hard or too soft for my 1994 Chevy K1500 Silverado. Put the front back into a new one. You can never go wrong with Bilstein shock absorbers in my opinion. I noticed that some reviews said the bolt shanks on the shocks were too wide and needed some sharpening to fit. I found that my shocks were a bit tight and needed to be reset to original equipment specs, and the shocks fitted perfectly.

Bilstein (24-104050) 4600 Series Shocks

I ordered these for the front of my 1994 GMC K2500 (ZGG 8600) in 2017, they fit and work very well, my truck is very heavy and I do a lot of off-roading at my family ranch in the Black Hills of northeast Wyoming - when/if they wear out - I'll be ordering another set. Quality Materials & Finishing (Updated August 22, 2021) I still have this set of these quality shocks on my GMC, no leaks just a smooth ride both on pavement and off road. I highly recommend them if you have a very heavy truck.

Almost 2 years later still holding up

Bought these for my 97 GMC Yukon and they have been great for the last almost 2 years. The only reason I had trouble installing them was the condition of the old shocks and washers that helped hold them in place. I had to use an angle grinder to cut off one of the screws. I'm always great at doing projects second time around. :) I've never changed shock absorbers myself, so I can't compare shock absorber changing jobs. However, after much research, I have come to the conclusion that this is the

Factory quality shock absorbers.

I bought a set of these and also a pair of Bilsteins (24021791) to replace the originals on my '99 Chevy Tahoe and the ride changed immediately. After most of the front suspension was restored and straightened out, the truck still felt a little loose and made noise when going over rough roads. So I decided to change the shock absorbers and what's the difference! The originals looked fine on the car as there was no sign of a leak or other damage but once removed it was obvious that they neededโ€ฆ

ATTENTION TO THE BUYER. Assembly now in Mexico.

BUYER WARNING. Assembly now in Mexico. Every Bilstein I've ever bought was made and assembled in Germany or the USA. The whole point of buying something assembled and manufactured in Germany, the USA or Japan is quality control. As an engineer, manufacturer and mechanic, I am aware that Mexico has low quality control standards. So I don't have a chance to use a shock made by an elite German company and assembled in Mexico. End. They will say that the parts are made in Germany and assembled inโ€ฆ
