I needed something for my battery powered golf cart that would control my accessories and charge my phone/tablet when needed. Be sure to read the specifications. The switches are not designed for high power/high current applications such as motors and compressors. You need high power automotive relays if you want to drive a high power amplifier. It's okay - the switches are easy to connect to the relay. You *must* understand wiring. You'll need basic wiring tools like a wire stripper, crimping tool, and crimp ends to "properly" terminate the wiring. Theoretically you can just "twist and glue" but that's not a good idea. In any case I connect a 48VDC to 12VDC converter to the switches and connect the built in 12V outlet via relay, 12V air compressor (via relay), 12V fan and USB -Connectors with a spare switch for future use. Like I said, you don't have to use a relay, but if you're using something that draws over 15 amps or so I'd recommend this so you don't fry the switch contacts.
