Combining reviews for different products can be confusing. This is for the 4 way version.

Combining product reviews can be confusing. This applies to the version with 4 outputs. A few years ago in a previous home a power transformer went haywire and started putting out about 170VAC on one phase of our outlets. Our Tripp Lite isobar surge protectors crackled, hissed, and gave off a strange smell, and then the circuit breakers tripped. After that they were garbage. However, they salvaged a pair of $4,000 Mac Pros that were unaffected. If you want a surge protector that doesn't use sacrificial parts, you'll need a more expensive "series mode" surge protector. I never liked the way these devices were connected. If you're just putting them on a table, you'll need to attach rubber feet to the bottom so they don't scratch your work surface. If you want to attach them to a wall or floor, things get even more difficult. I would have preferred the mounting flanges to extend outside the block rather than under it. Surprisingly, they don't provide a template for mounting screws. I had to create my own template with some effort. Where I live, all utility lines are underground, but you can still get surges from lightning that hits utility lines a mile away. As I mentioned above, you can also have nutritional issues that are unrelated to the weather. Made in China.
