Review on Enhance Your Sharpening with Tormek SJ 250 Japanese Waterstone: Unleash Precision and Durability by Doug Hook

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great but one sided. They are all.

For the price this should be perfect. I had a Tormek T4 and now I have a T-8. All of the very expensive Japanese waterstones (of which 4 were ordered) were either chipped or crooked and needed fine grinding. If you're asking those prices, I think you should take the time to sand them down completely and pack them better to avoid damage in transit. I ordered 3 stones for T4 before one arrived intact, the 3rd was intact but askew. The T8 stone was intact but also very crooked. Keep in mind that Japanese water stone is much more difficult to obtain than regular stone. It is very easy to damage the edges. It has the consistency of chalk and very light shavings.
