Basically it does what it was designed to do, coating a can of soda. At best, this will help prevent a spill from an open can if there is some liquid in it. It won't store the soda (even refillable bottles can't do that for very long), and that lid doesn't stay open when squeezed like in a cooler, shall we say. They're perfect for the fridge when you just need to save the last sip of lemonade. This is how I use it when there is enough soda left. The lid is on, it's on a shelf in the fridge and doesn't bother if it accidentally tips over on its side because the milk jug is too bulky. If all you need is a lid for an open container, this is the perfect gadget.
