Let me tell you why I gave this camera FIVE STARS. It's worth it and more. Like many of us, during this pandemic, most of our meetings and relationships with friends are being conducted through some form of electronic or video means. For many of us, Zoom is the number one choice for meetings, even with friends. My computer is set up to have a laptop with its own camera and microphone, but actually the computer is set up to connect the laptop to a docking station, which allows me to use a regular keyboard and mouse and large monitor, as on the attached photo. In my opinion, this is really the best option for conferences. The problem, however, is how to position the laptop so that you are inside the screen and still have a direct view of the large monitor. The obvious solution is a USB camera located at the top of the monitor. After looking at many cameras on Revain, I was amazed by the experiences of others and the features of the Aoyate camera. The camera arrived a day later and I plugged the camera into a USB port and then made sure the computer and then Zoom recognized the camera. I've attached the steps I took to verify Zoom's installation and detection to save anyone from having to research these steps themselves. I'm not a technician but I think I gave the right instructions. I've also attached a zoom camera photo (using a virtual background, not the clutter of my home office). Let me add that the difference in quality, resolution and microphone between this camera and my laptop's internal camera and microphone is amazing. In my opinion this is the best choice in terms of value for money.
