Review on 🚚 Lippert 281255 Bolt-On Shock Mount Kit for 2.375" Axle - Improve Trailer Suspension with 3.5K Capacity by Jeff Hill

You have to figure it out without anything to customize to your vehicle.

Installation required a lot of planning and parts purchase. There were no instructions, and there weren't enough threads on the U-bolts to tighten the plate down without the 3.4-inch flat washers for the tension nuts on the axle. I had to heat and bend the mounting plate that attaches to the frame to get the angle of impact through the hole in the bracket. Vise and oxygen aceline for heating for bending. not easy. then remove paint residue with wire brushes and repaint strut.) Not tested yet. The actual installation was quick compared to the preparation. It's faster to install the shock than to bend the mounting plate to make the shock go through the hole intelligently. If he achieves what we want, it will be worth it. When I'm retired, I'll have time for projects I wouldn't otherwise have time for. To understand this, you must have some mechanical/automotive/automobile knowledge. Special tool for this.
