I bought this CD mount as an alternative to EasyBlade Discs my "beanbag" dash mount, which sometimes slipped and wasn't very attractive either. The EasyBlade fitted snugly in the CD slot and allowed me to mount my 5 inch GPS receiver in a much more convenient location. I found it necessary to trim the threaded portion of the mounting screw to allow clearance from part of my dash. It was a five minute procedure which I consider a minor change. I rarely use a CD player in my car and was willing to sacrifice accessibility when the mount was installed. I left my favorite CD installed in CD. Turntable, but use occasionally. Of course, if you want to change CDs, you have to remove the holder. I am happy with the design and durability of this mount and hope it will last.
