Rivets in nut leaking - known issue, use afe D2 instead of

I've been using K&N filters since they were released. I used to give them 5 star ratings because I have a 6.7 liter Ram 2500 and getting to the filter with a belt wrench is a nightmare. So far they have been on all my cars and toys. My wife has a new Honda CRV and on her first oil change I installed a good new K&N oil filter. I checked the oil at every gas station, no loss, then one day my wife called and said the car was making strange noises and the oil light was on. So I went to check. The filter was out of order and was leaking 1 inch from under the cold formed nut. No, I didn't unscrew it to install it. I tightened it by hand when installing. turned off the filter and turned it over to drain the oil, it literally gurgled. Usually they seal slowly. So I looked online and it's a known issue, lots of posts! Said to be K&N made in Riverside, California, but the filter says "Made in Korea". mine. The next day I changed all the filters in the car. Found another filter with a cast nut for my 6.7l (from afe D2). Much luck!
