Direct replacement for Yamaha Part # 68F-13907-00-00

Purchased to replace the HPDI pump on a 2002 Yamaha HPDI engine. Series - VZ150TLRA. I couldn't take the $816 plus labor the boat shop wanted to charge me for. So I decided, dammit, I'll take a picture. Until now, R&R has been easy. The pump and suction filter are interchangeable parts. I pulled out the old $816.00 pump and put it next to this one and I can't visually tell any differences between the pumps other than the old one is slightly discolored from years of soaking in fuel. The plug fits just like that. One caveat: the small plastic sleeve that fits over the outlet nozzle (above) can easily be overlooked and make the pump appear undersized. I missed it the first time I tried to install it. The pump went in but seemed loose. I found a bushing from an old pump lying on the deck next to the old pump. Got the pump reinstalled properly with this bushing and the fit of the pump is much better. So far I have only operated the boat on the hose. But it works the first time every time and seems to do RPM with no problems. Legal trailer issues and the weather prevented me from driving the boat, but I will update this review when I actually get to drive the boat. To update. Found an engine problem, fixed all legal aspects and finally updated. He put the boat on the water and drove. The engine ran great so this pump should work as advertised. No choking or misses at high gas settings. So for 1/10 the price I am very happy with the pump.
