I had to drill a hole for a pipe through a concrete block. I only used a Bosch impact drill to set up the drill. This hole saw cut through the block like butter. If it works for you like it did for me then you won't have a problem and considering the price this device is a real steal. It's durable, the carbide tips stayed in place and kept their edges. I only used this hole saw to cut two holes. Keep in mind that a hole saw can only cut about 1-1/2" deep, but I was able to snap off the saw blades and keep cutting. With this hole saw you will certainly have trouble if you need to cut rebar. There will also be trouble when you need to cut much deeper than six inches because once the hole is deeper it will be difficult to break the core of the saw. To start the cut I used a center drill and then removed the center drill once I got the depth of the cut had reached. I continued the hole by breaking off successive saw blades. If you need to cut a lot of holes or drill holes larger than 4-6" this saw may not be for you. Worked like a charm for me, but just cut two holes in the cinder block.ultimately can't say how long the holesaws will last.Worked like a charm for me so I'm happy the.
