eats through burnt red bricks like a monster cookie

I used my set for the first time today and it eats red bricks well. Cement blocks are no problem at all. the floor filled with cement whimpered a bit at first, but after 2 inches the last 4 inches were fine, the only negative! It's a set screw on the side. it didn't stay taut and the centering jet came loose and vibrated. My solution was to get an extended class 8 set screw and put it in, then use a class 8 nut to tighten it, voila, no more problems :D

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

I used this on a 10" concrete wall and the hole saw could only go about 8" before half of the carbide teeth were completely worn out. I also used water for continuous cooling. I think this saw might only be good for softer material like cinder block or brick. I was expecting to be able to cut at least 1 hole but figured it would be enough for 3. I was wrong. I used a smaller hole saw to continue the work and came across rebar. He couldn't cut through the rebar at all.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Lightly dented

Considering the price, this hole saw worked like a charm.

I had to drill a hole for a pipe through a concrete block. I only used a Bosch impact drill to set up the drill. This hole saw cut through the block like butter. If it works for you like it did for me then you won't have a problem and considering the price this device is a real steal. It's durable, the carbide tips stayed in place and kept their edges. I only used this hole saw to cut two holes. Keep in mind that a hole saw can only cut about 1-1/2" deep, but I was able to snap off the saw…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black
