Being not very smart I smashed my original rock on the floor of my garage . It's exactly the same and just as great. I wrote a review about Ultra Fine Stone, it is a wonderful product. Can sharpen any steel I've seen (I own over 50 pocket knives). ZDP-189 without problems, s30v, even s110v is easy. All of this is relevant, of course, and provided you can maintain a level FINAL bevel (incisal edge). Not suitable for removing large amounts of steel from harder steels. I had a hard time resetting the secondary bevel on the CPM-M4 Benchmade, but it's a tough task. As for the final bevel of the same knife, there will be an ugly sharp edge on the finished edge. Of course this isn't the final step in this system and won't deliver the final result, but like everything Syderco does, it's a wonderful product.
