The 50ft version now works between my Sony X900F 75" receiver and Yamaha RX-V385. I've been using the top rated regular HDMI cable (HDMI 2.0b and HDCP 2.2 compliant) for the past 6 months, but I've never been able to enable Dolby Vision on my Xbox One X due to "snow" and the image was cut out once for about 1/ Black for 2 seconds, even without activating this function. Pretty disappointing for such a good setup. Speaking to some people in the office, I learned that setting it as high as possible pushed the cable very close to its rated maximum bandwidth of 18.2 Gbps. Normally that would be fine, but more than 50 feet of line loss plus the proximity to the parallel speaker cables seemed enough to cause bad packages despite the thick cable and good cable shielding. fiber optic cable, and the quality difference was IMMEDIATELY apparent. The hardware I'm using was smart enough to filter and fix some of the problems caused by the old cable that weren't obvious when watching it, but switching the cable was like switching from VHS to DVD. I sat and watched the 3 episodes of Planet Earth II that I had already watched just to marvel at the difference they made. one of them shot. Worth every penny.
