Gift for a 4 year old girl. Big!

We were looking for a cheap tape recorder for my 4 year old daughter's birthday so she can listen to music and books on CD. (We burn extra copies so she can't ruin the originals) I love that it's easy to use - both my 4 year old and 2 year old can handle it. The CD cover opens and closes easily with a handle instead of a latch that can be broken. It's not fancy and will jump if you trip over it, but I'm fine with that. The speakers are ok and for the price we are very happy with them. It's been up for a month now and has been played about 100 times by Tayo Cruz's "Dynamite" and is still going (much to my chagrin). I'll come back and update this review if it dies prematurely for us - but it's going to take some abuse so I'll be impressed if it holds up. The only thing I wish was the triangular/square play/stop icons on the buttons - the tiny letters above that say "play", "rev", "ffwd" are heavy to see and difficult for a child to decipher. I took a marker and drew symbols on the buttons. It's not pretty, but it works well. hard to see and hard for a child to decipher. I took a marker and drew symbols on the buttons.
