Interesting and beautiful project!

This set has very few defects. It's very interesting and requires more thought than some of the other kits as it allows you to set up your own code. Most of the parts are fairly easy to put together and the final product is nice and well articulated. I've had mine for a few months now, and although I haven't moved any of the parts in months, they still move smoothly. However, something is wrong with the set. In order for the parts to move smoothly towards each other, it is necessary to apply wax to all joint parts. Because this box relies heavily on many slot-filled interiors, there is a large surface area to cover. The grooves are sometimes difficult to reach and generally quite difficult to rub into the wax. Another issue, which may not apply to everyone, was that my kit didn't actually come with wax and I was forced to use a few candles from around the house. Just something to note. The last problem relates to the end result, although the box is beautiful on the outside, the box itself is not very functional. The locked compartment is too small to hide anything (one of the reasons I haven't opened mine in months). It's a really fun project if you're not expecting it to actually protect anything. It only took me about a day to make it, but this isn't the first time I've done a project like this. For most people I'd say it can take a few days if you've never tried anything like this before.
