The thread is exactly what I wanted. However, the coil leaves a lot to be desired. The thread was half off the spool when I received it - literally slipped off and was in a lump. I moved it back as best I could but it's still a mess. I actually *needed* the thread when I ordered it and didn't have time to send it back and get a replacement (which could very well be in the same or worse condition than the one I received), so I saved them . I have to wind it on an empty spool or spools to use it, but it can't be used without a spool. I assume that when the spool is used up there will come a point when it will finally get rid of all the tangles and lumps and I can use it for its intended purpose, but that time has not come! The thread is wonderful. I use it on both Janome MC 15000 and Janome MC 12000 and it runs at 600 stitches per minute. It's not as brittle as some metallics - I often have to slow down metallics to 400 or 500 so they don't break every time you blink, but this one works great at 600. Although that seems like a limit because at higher speeds ( 700+) it starts to break and click. If the role was "right" it would be a very lucky 5 star rating. Due to the clutter in the envelope when I received it and the amount of thread I lost due to confusion when trying to use it, I got 3 instead. I didn't have to waste time sitting around putting it on small spools to wrap to use it my big role!
