Review on πŸ”§ Felo Wood Handle Screwdriver Set - Slotted and Phillips, 5 Pieces, Chrome Finish Blade with Beechwood Grip, Model 33595198 07157 22155 by Brandon Ball

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The shape of the handle is a weakness of the set.

Having used these screwdrivers for a while I don't think my opinion will change over time. I love wooden grips and that's the main reason I bought the set based on the recommendation of the AvE YouTube channel. What I don't like is the shape of the handles. If you hold the screwdriver normally, your index finger doesn't have much leverage because the handles are narrower. And because of this, only your middle and ring fingers do most of the work. If you turn the screwdriver upside down and hold it with your thumb at the end of the handle, your index and middle fingers will do most of the work. This is an odd design, also used by Wera. I never understood the motivation for this. I like the design of the hex nut on the end of the shaft to allow a wrench to be used for extra torque. This feature is also available in my gearwrench and snap-on sets. Having a significant collection of screwdrivers, I will say that the best screwdrivers with the most grip and torque are, in descending order: Gearwrench, Snap-on (Black Handles), Craftsman Pro, Craftsman Diamond Tip, Craftsman Ergo Handle , this Felo set, Wera and Craftsman Butyral grips. I will say that I enjoy using this set every day because it feels very comfortable and the tips are very strong. I love using Craftsman Pro every day for the same reason. Gearwrench and snap-on sets are designed for tough jobs. I use a diamond tip set when the screws are almost rounded. The Felo set is definitely one of the highest quality sets when it comes to pricing. I just wish they would change the handle design.
