I've been using this hub on my 4 year old ASUS laptop for a few months. I have a Microsoft wired USB mouse, a Logitech wired USB keyboard, up to 2 x 4TB Western Digital My Passport hard drives and sometimes an XQD or SD card reader attached to them. I also charge my Garmin bike computer, bike headlight and taillight using the charging ports. Everything works great. The only issues I had were two instances where my computer wouldn't boot properly when I put it to sleep. I don't know what happened, but it hasn't happened again lately. I back up to external hard drives and haven't had any problems with that. The speed seems to be the same as connecting drives to USB 3.0 ports on a laptop. I restored several files from backups. No problem reading my XQD or SD cards. Speed seems to be good for them too.
