Review on Canon EF-S 55-250mm F4-5.6 IS STM Lens Review & Best Deals for Canon SLR Cameras by Sung-hoon Hwang ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Full compliance with the manufacturers assurances, high quality.

For example - a couple of handheld night shots, on a device with a crop1.6 matrix, the same object with and without full zoom: (links to the photo were not missed). Handheld video shooting of moving subjects is now easier than ever before - autofocus instantly and silently works out manual zooming, and a stabilizer compensates for slight shaking. For comparison, watch a video with a comparative focus test of two lenses "70-300 usm" & "55-250 stm": youtube. Com/watch?v=pmrvBcXYcwU - it's obvious who is faster and quieter at work. Summary - the lens is gorgeous in all respects for its price. Silent and accurate focusing compared to more expensive ones (I personally compared it with the original "EF 28mm f / 2.8 IS USM" for 28tyr, which rattles "like a tractor"), as well as a clear picture at all ranges And at such a ridiculous price for zooms with autofocus and a stabilizer (Kr. 18.01202222) - they make it out of competition among classmates. Only "EF 600mm f/4L IS II USM" is cooler than it, but it costs a hell of a 666Krubles and weighs almost 4kg.

Pros
  • Lightweight, silent, fast focusing. The stabilizer in all modes is fine. Distortion is minimal over the entire operating range.
Cons
  • Plastic mount, not for frequent changes of optics - with high-speed replacements, it will loosen up after a hundred or two times. But at such a price, this is not significant, and if you do not rush, then the thread will not work in two years. Protection against water and dust is not like the "L"-class.
