Review on MICHELIN X-Ice Snow 215/60 R16 99H winter by Celina Marciniaks ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like everything, the price and the quality are both ok.

Rubber was acquired at the end of November with the intention of replacing the worn-out XI3, which has been of dependable service to me for almost seven years. In point of fact, my only experience with winter tires is with my current set. As a result, I shall, in a sense, contrast the newly released model with the one that came before it. Car - Daewoo Nexia. Size - 175/65 R14. Driving mode - calm, almost elderly. Even though I make my home in the country, getting to and from the city for business requires me to go along the highway frequently. The old model's extremely challenging acceleration to temperatures close to zero was the source of much of my annoyance with it. The newest version is, without a doubt, superior. Either the tread is more rigid or the rubber is more rigid. One or the other. My impression was that XI3 focused more on road than snow. In some way, he exhibits more consistency in his behavior. Although upon closer inspection of the tread patterns, this should not come as a surprise. People have mentioned in these comments that the new model does not grip the road very well, either when it is dry or when it is wet. I believe that I do agree. My preferred mode of driving is calmness, and I never go into turns at an excessively high rate of speed. However, upon braking, it truly enters the skid more easily than the XI3, and this is a truth that cannot be disputed. But this is not a serious issue; everything can be simply resolved by maintaining the appropriate speed limit and increasing the spacing between vehicles. The snowy road is where all of the excitement and pleasure begins. It is impossible to overstate how well the new model navigates rough terrain and maintains its directional stability. In the snow, pulling on it allows one to drive. Even when you are not in corners, you still need to exercise caution. Miracles don't happen Positive feelings have been washing over me for the past month as a result of this model's operation. Take advantage of it if you live outside of the city; you won't be sorry you did. It is possible that a different type of rubber may be preferable for use in urban settings. It would be wonderful if the price was reduced even further. I have high hopes that, similar to the earlier model, the price will be justified by a lengthy resource.

Pros
  • Excellent traction in the snow.
Cons
  • Price. Braking on wet pavement.
