Description of MICHELIN X-Ice Snow 215/60 R16 99H winter

MICHELIN X-ICE SNOW winter safety and mobility despite wear The Michelin X-Ice Snow is a friction development representing a new generation of winter tires that promises mobility and safety for passenger cars in the harshest climates. The manufacturer notes that the development and testing of prototypes of the model took place in Northern Europe, so it takes into account all possible weather conditions for extreme winter driving. The Michelin X-Ice Snow winter tire is suitable for 85% of modern passenger cars. The model is offered in more than 120 sizes for wheels with a diameter of 14 to 22 inches. It is positioned by the manufacturer as a replacement for the X-ice Xi3, differing from it in a completely redesigned design and new materials. This provides it with a significant superiority, both over its predecessor and similar tires of the world''s leading brands. New tread design The key external difference between this model and its predecessor is the design of the tread pattern. Having retained the V-shaped arrangement of elements, it is characterized by their smaller size, modified shape and increased numbers. This made it possible to significantly improve directional stability and traction and braking properties on snow-covered surfaces. The increased capacity and the more acute angle of the sipes allow the tire to effectively deal with both hydroplaning and slashplaning. Updated slats Another significant innovation is the use of two types of slats. All slots have a "three-dimensional" profile of vertical sipes, thanks to which they retain the rigidity of the blocks, improving handling and stability of traction on cleared asphalt from snow and ice. Due to the ability to be rigidly fixed in the open position, the number of slots has been increased. At the same time, the variable thickness of the slots in the central part allows the tire to better cling to the icy surface covered with a water film. U-shaped lamellas located in the shoulder areas improve handling and traction on slippery surfaces when maneuvering. They are fully preserved even with heavy wear of the running part of the tread. This is due to the increased depth of cut of the sipes, which is a "proprietary" feature of the French brand tires, which distinguishes it from the vast majority of similar tires from other manufacturers. Advanced CompoundThe tread uses the 2nd iteration of the Flex-Ice compound. It is distinguished from the previous compound by the use of more modern polymers. They significantly improve the tread resistance to abrasion, elasticity at low temperatures, and prevent the destruction of the tread when overheated. The presence of a porous structure of the compound also follows. This solution allows you to additionally dry the contact patch, improving grip on packed snow and ice. Main...

Before that (2022-2022) there was also a Bridgestone DM-V2 clutch. I can't say it was worse. The difference with the new one felt in favor of Michelin, primarily because one set was old and the other was brand new.

Pros
  • Very quiet, good traction - excellent rowing. I drove it for one season - winter 2022. In my opinion, for the central regions of 2022, that's it. Although I last year spent most of the time on it in Hong Kong.
Cons
  • Price. The most interesting thing is that I managed to buy it at the sale on Black Friday 2022 on Ya. Market for about 5500 for a bottle in the size 225/60R17 - exactly 50% discount. But after that, it disappeared from the range in most sizes. Apparently there was some kind of mistake.

Not a bad product, but I expected a little more.

195/65 R15, manufactured in Germany during the 30th week of 2022 and installed on the Lacetti station wagon this month, September 2022. This is a preliminary assessment, as the outfit has only just been delivered and has not been subjected to winter conditions. Actually, there was one "but" that would have prevented it from being written: In my 23 years of driving, I have had 5 noisier tires than this one. It doesn't howl like a dive Junkers (only NIISHP Rally-2022 did it), but its "separate

Cons
  • Howls. We're hearing howling right here.

205/55/16, German sedan, front wheel drive. It is still too early to evaluate the winter properties, after the snow I will add. So far, I can say that the tires are quiet, there is practically no difference after summer (also Michelin) in terms of noise. In warm weather they drive well, the car does not float. After running in, I tried up to 170 km / h - like on rails. No discomfort. Mine are made in Canada. Very well balanced. Michelin guarantees a year against punctures and cuts and 5 years…

Pros
  • Quiet, Scandinavian type tires, good handling even at +10
Cons
  • No

Not the best quality, but overall not bad.

Before that, there was a Bridgestone that was about 5 millimeters wider but I can't recall which model it was. Because the spikes on the old tires were flying out, we changed them up for some brand new 165/70 R14 MICHELIN X-Ice Snow. As soon as I drove on brand-new tires on a snowy road, I had the sudden realization that I had just wasted a lot of money on tires. The fact that the model is called the Snow despite having horrible brakes is the source of the model's comedic value. They do, by the

Pros
  • Quiet
Cons
  • The cost is really steep. The performance of the brakes is terrible when driving on snow. In the midst of a snowstorm, the anti-lock braking system (ABS) is triggered, and the vehicle is then forced further into the snow, colliding with the bumper of the automobile that is already halting. In addition, the tires have been mounted on a NISSAN MICRA, which is not even close to being a car because it moves at the speed of a snail.

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

has certain advantages: It rides like a summer automobile, handles well, and is quiet on both dry and wet pavement in the month of November 2022. Below, I'll list some negatives: rubber behaves like all non-studded wheels from other manufactures; it does not slow down on a small ice crust as the vendors claimed.

VW Polo fitted with Michelin x-ice snow 185/60 R15 tires. purchased from TAKOB in Hong Kong. Compared to the summer Pirelli CINTURATO P1, quite quiet. Pits, bumps passes extremely gently, despite feeling fairly tough to the touch when it was disassembled. manufacturing Germany. It operates flawlessly on asphalt whether it is wet or dry because there were no frosts or ice yet. We'll observe its behavior after the second month of operation.

Pros
  • Germany-made tires that are good and quiet.
Cons
  • The tire has not yet developed any flaws. The only drawback is that my size cannot be ordered.

I like everything, the price and the quality are both ok.

Rubber was acquired at the end of November with the intention of replacing the worn-out XI3, which has been of dependable service to me for almost seven years. In point of fact, my only experience with winter tires is with my current set. As a result, I shall, in a sense, contrast the newly released model with the one that came before it. Car - Daewoo Nexia. Size - 175/65 R14. Driving mode - calm, almost elderly. Even though I make my home in the country, getting to and from the city for…

Pros
  • Excellent traction in the snow.
Cons
  • Price. Braking on wet pavement.

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good one.

Peugeot 408 Automobile. For the previous two seasons, I drove all throughout Hong Kong and the surrounding region using a set of studded Bridgestone Blizzak Spike-02 215/55/R16 tires. A bridge's benefits outweigh its noise. We bought X-Ice Snow for a December 2022 travel from Hong Kong to the Hong Kong Territory along M-4. Our equipment is 100% Canadian. Everything has been registered for a five-year warranty with no problems. X-Ice Snow has not disappointed us once on our trip, and we have…

Pros
  • Good traction from -13 to +14 degrees Fahrenheit, through snow, storm, slush, and severe rain. Compared to the Primacy 4, the rubber is far less noisy. The fuel consumption of the Primacy 4 has climbed little since the summer. There was a full five-year warranty provided by the maker at the time of purchase.
Cons
  • Not yet located. The cost is reasonable for what you get. Since the tire is directional, a spare is tricky to fabricate because you can't just assume which side is up. Therefore, a separate new tire is always brought along on extended excursions just in case.

Nothing special, there are positive and negative sides.

Strange feeling from these tires. Above, people write that there is almost no difference between summer and this rubber, but my car has turned into a barge. You have to steer much more often. A persistent feeling that you are not going, but swimming. I took in the size 245/45-19. The car is an all-wheel drive Audi A6 with 340 l / s. Tire pressure 2.5 atm. The previous friction clutch from Michelin pleased, but here it’s just incomprehensibility. I hope that the temperature drops below zero and…

The purchase brought only positive emotions.

I would very much like to compare this model and the declared best in many tests. viking contact 7 . but here you need to choose for yourself, in some ways one is better, in some other way, and the persistence of properties during wear in Michelin is important if this is the case Different pros: I bought tires (205/55/16) almost as soon as they came out, there was little information, reviews and even less. there were almost none, rare reviews . well, in general, the decisive factor was the…

A really necessary purchase, Im glad I found this product.

In mid-October 2022, I took a set of Michelin X-Ice Snow SUV winter tires for Land Rover Discovery Sport in size 235/55/R19. The choice was conscious, because before that I took summer Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUVs and they made a very strong impression on me (before that I went to Continental CrossContact LX Sport). At the moment, the Michelin X-Ice Snow SUV has covered a little more than 1500 km. I was very surprised that the tire, although much toothier than a summer one, is just as quiet. In…

Pros
  • Quiet, soft. Good handling on both ice and snow.
Cons
  • Didn't find it.

The perfect product for any user!

In the fall of 2022, I purchased Michelin X-Ice Snow. I've been going for a few months now and I'm very happy. Prior to that, there was Nokian studded tires. Michelin X-Ice Snow holds the road well in icy, slushy, snowy conditions. I recommend this model. Haven't found any downsides as of yet. I think that in the conditions of the winter of our region, when basically either a small minus or a small plus is an excellent option.

  • Low noise, excellent handling

I like it, thank you for the quality product.

was initially skeptical about Velcro, tk. went only on spikes, but this rubber completely won my trust. with the right choice of speed, depending on weather conditions and road conditions, the car behaves completely predictably, without surprises. 195/65 p15 toyota allion 4wd 2022 Has some pros excellent braking on all surfaces, rowing in the snow like a tractor. I really liked how the car comes out of a skid in the city, as if it were going on rails. but sometimes you still want spikes, there…
