This is reminiscent of the screen door hooks we had in the 1950's. However, this is the deluxe version of the giant. I then attached the hook plate to the door with two good 1.5" steel wood screws (adjust the hook so it slopes slightly towards the ring plate). The fit and functionality is perfect and it looks better than I expected. I will buy another one for my own use.
