When I installed LED lights around my 17 Ford C-Max, there was a "hyper flash" in the turn signals. These resistors were advertised as a solution to this problem. Well they work! The direction cycle speed is now slightly slower than the original bulbs. No problem. I'm one of those guys who usually does this kind of engineering projects, just ask my X. As the instructions suggest, use screws to attach the resistors to the body. It was impractical due to accommodation issues. Drilling holes in the body can cause rust to form. Oh no. I used an RTV silicone gasket and it works great. Before front LEDs were installed, Hyper Flash was NOT an issue. This led me to believe that only two resistors would be needed. I was right. After installation, there was no more hyperflare on the back. Now the last question. Should it ever be necessary to remove the taillight assembly, the body mounted resistor will need to be disconnected. Short 6-inch wires were soldered to the lamp socket in parallel with the light bulb and connected to the resistor with connectors. I had to take photos. I am sorry. As for longevity. Only time will tell but they appear to be of good quality and durable. The price for four of them, under $10, is very good even though I never use the other two. I can always help a friend π. Of course I recommend these resistors and will buy them again if the need arises.
