The fuel gauge no longer worked on the original pump. Use 1/3 tank and then FULL will be displayed. Not for travel comfort. It's listed as OEM so I bought it. However, when I received it I found that the electrical connections on the new ones didn't match the old ones, but they did supply a connector with a pigtail for splicing. In any case, exchanged and now everything works. NOTE! With fuel pumps installed in the tank, the fuel is used to COOL the pump motor! If you drive constantly and let the fuel level drop below 1/4 tank, you risk engine damage! I don't recommend going below 1/4 of the fuel gauge. If you go at or below 1/8th tank, you'll need to replace the fuel pump sooner rather than later. Nowadays they are not cheap goods. You'll save $$$ labor if you can replace it yourself. But if you do it in a shop then expect to actually get paid, especially if they have to remove the fuel tank to get the job done!
