Are the boot ends tighter than stock as another review claims (at least on my FC RX7 steering box) yes. However, "impossible" to determine, not really. Simply fold the end of the boot toward you prior to installation. Once the shoe is in place and snug against the stand, fold it over the stand's tab. This boot is made of rubber, not plastic like old boots. The quality is excellent. Don't be put off by the tight fit.
