Everything worked, but parts began to fly off.

I hate giving this polisher a star because it works or worked great. While polishing the side of my car, the pad and skid plate came loose, or rather they fell off. Looking at it, it looks like the threads in the polisher nut on the backing plate have been stripped. I didn't even take the backplate off. This was my first day using a polisher out of the box to the car. I'm also almost done with polishing. I'm wondering if there are Torq replacement parts to fix this?
