NOT USB 3.0 best on optical drives
Yes the connector is blue but it doesn't have the extra five USB 3 pins and doesn't support USB 3.x speeds. However, you will never achieve USB 3.x speeds when reading from an optical disc. Two stars deducted for false advertising. The image on the left shows a USB CD drive and on the right the actual USB 3.0 connector (from another product). Also, it has worked on two CDs so far.
