Smells like cat pee. I open the package and am almost amazed. The smell was terrible. I put it on the back deck to air out and the smell that got on my hands was still there after 2 hours even after washing them several times. I put a tarp in the washing machine to see if I could get rid of the smell. I have another tarp whose edges are showing for the stitching. This one doesn't have a seam around the edges and I suspect it will wear out after a while. I knew at only $13 it was too good to be true. Very bad quality. If the smell doesn't come out - I have to send it back in 3 days UPDATE. washed fabric. The smell came out. But there was a lot of fluff on the rag. Very much. Took it outside to air it out. It's not really a tarp. This is a piece of cloth. Slightly thicker than a sheet. I will. But now that I know that I know, I wouldn't buy it
