Pretty good but too high

I bought this filter for a 2.5 gallon plastic tank. It fits reasonably well except the riser with the outlet attached was too high for the tank. I just removed the vent as its only purpose is to hold the carbon cartridge in place and prevent small fish from escaping through the tube. The filter is still working and removed all the mud suspended in the water in less than an hour after planting. I would give this filter more stars if it wasn't too high for the aquarium. Otherwise it's a great filter.
