We have chosen to pull out the ceiling fan and light (which spits out a bulb every time we drive down the road), we cook sparingly in the caravan and the fantastic fan is enough for our 77 square meters. Losing the ceiling block simply meant we wouldn't bang our heads on it. We installed the light with ceiling fan/light box wiring. In order for the light to work, even one side of the light emits a brighter light than the ceiling unit. Install on both sides there is plenty of light! Installation was easy. Can't comment on durability, we haven't had a chance to use our trailer this year, but it seems like a good buy. Be sure.
