Review on 🚲 Enhance Your Ride with the Progressive Suspension Fork Lowering Kit by Jorge Kehayas

10-1561 will not fit in fork

Progressive undoubtedly makes great suspensions. A word of caution, no matter how 10-1561 is advertised, this is not a "plug-in" plug kit. You have to pull the shocks out, which means unless you're very, very, very talented you have to take apart the entire front end. I spoke to a Progressive rep on 12/28/15 and he told me he had seen some of their kits incorrectly advertised as "drop in" on the internet. I don't really have a problem with anyone getting it wrong, but I had to pay $16 for return shipping to get a refund, which is totally unfair. I can tell you that for the 2009 Electra Glide the actual insert kit is part number 10-2003. This kit will require you to lower the fork tubes to remove and install the springs, but this can be accomplished by dropping the entire front end down so the tubes are still in the lower branches and not over stretching the brake lines will.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Some Issues
