They lowered the front of my FLHTC by 1 inch.

They lowered the front of my FLHTC 1 inch to match the new lowered rear shocks I added, but I didn't notice any improvement from the front.

If you want to go further below, please read.

Good springs for riding, but if you want to lower the bike, just install the main spring. On my undersized Ultra Classic, I put these springs in the stock configuration and they are about 1.5 to 2 inches lower than stock. Good luck and keep the shiny side up and the rubber down.

  • Stylish and modern design

Easy installation Suitable for spare parts

Very easy installation. If your bike is older you should probably buy a fork conversion kit as you will be disassembling the fork anyway. Lowered the bike exactly 2 inches and gave it a perfect stance. The rebound depends on many factors such as the weight of the oil and the type of bike you have. Installed and rebuilt my forks in my garage in about 3 hours with basic tools.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

This is a great product, but the gasket you need to put in is a PVC tube that you have to cut to size yourself. You then have to figure out how much oil to add. I also recommend contacting Progressive before installing to find out how much fluid you need. I did a 1 inch drop and I wouldn't recommend going below that level as you could run into complications and hit the…

10-1561 will not fit in fork

Progressive undoubtedly makes great suspensions. A word of caution, no matter how 10-1561 is advertised, this is not a "plug-in" plug kit. You have to pull the shocks out, which means unless you're very, very, very talented you have to take apart the entire front end. I spoke to a Progressive rep on 12/28/15 and he told me he had seen some of their kits incorrectly advertised as "drop in" on the internet. I don't really have a problem with anyone getting it wrong, but I had to pay $16 for…
