While the mug is cute and definitely strong, I find the lid very difficult to attach securely and impossible to remove. Apparently the black rubber insert on the lid doesn't fit or doesn't fit properly. By removing and trying different ways to attach the rubber insert to the lid, I couldn't get the lid to slide easily in and out of the mug. In addition, the slide on the top for opening and closing the drinking hole is also very stiff. I can't imagine how easy it would be for her to use this mug if I gift it to a grandmother in her 60's or 70's.
