Little effort worth not using standard chain wiper lube. I am a road cyclist who averages 150-200 miles per week, combining high speed riding averaging 20mph on flat land and some 6000ft mountain climbs. I can feel the difference right after use. Pedaling feels a lot smoother. I run about 300 miles before having to re-flush the chain, which is right between the recommended re-apply intervals. Oh, and I live in Southern California, so it's pretty dry here. However, one of the advantages of YMMV is a super clean chain. and I mean clean enough to show off to people by running your finger across the chain and showing that your finger isn't smeared with grease or dirt AFTER a century of riding! Be sure to try it! At first I was confused about having to remove the chain and found it quite a hassle. But the result is totally worth it!
