So upset I literally threw it away an hour later.

This product is on the verge of becoming unsafe due to its cheap manufacture and poor functioning. This is by far the worst soldering iron I've ever used, it already ruined a project I was working on. I was so frustrated that it doesn't melt the solder, it's an incredibly short cable, and its stand that...DOES NOT hold...that I just threw it away and started grinding down the old soldering iron tip for reuse. This is absolute junk. Just ordered another iron without the LCD screen trick.
