My 2002 Suburban sunroof sagged, the old struts lost full mobility over the years. I started restoring the old Suburban to its former glory. After bumping my head too many times, I decided it was time to swap out the frames. The old jambs were easy to remove, just unscrew and twist the latches with a flat head screwdriver. The new ones just popped out with little effort. You may need a second person to hold the sunroof during installation. I made it myself, but an extra pair of hands wouldn't hurt. The new posts are sturdy and require some weight to lower the hatch door, but that's how I remember the creature in the suburbs when it was new. Like new, the sunroof opened with no problems. I can't help but praise these very affordable parts.
