Works better than tin and is worth the extra money.
We had a flat antenna that was supposed to have a 50 mile range. We had trouble getting a news channel in town even though it's only 10 miles away. He appeared and disappeared even though we had an antenna on the window. I want to say that this is a leaf antenna. After trying to tinker with it and achieving nothing, we still decided to buy a new antenna. The TV is by the window in the living room, but definitely not next to it. I would say it's 3-4 feet from the window in the corner. We no longer have problems with transmitter flicker and are very glad we decided to upgrade the antenna.
