I read and searched a lot before deciding on these trousers. Very glad I did. While the Blaklader pants I've worn for several years are second to none in the sense that they're fit for a zombie apocalypse, these pants are lighter and fresher for the hot SoFlo climate, fit very well, and have more pockets as the Blaklader craftsman. Pants 1500 for example, two small pockets on the front where I can put my reading glasses and take them out in a jiffy on my knees. Time will tell how long they last in a build environment, but I'm willing to replace them sooner. because the compromise is that they are more elegant and look professional. Hard plastic knee pads are useless. Soft pads work very well. At first I kept them on all the time but I got annoyed by the pressure on my knees when I sat on a chair and took them out, if the legs were a bit wider it would be great but that's the only thing I can think of to have. Bought a second pair. Very happy with it.
