Great suit for the price and warm in 50 degree water

While the pandemic is ongoing and everything is closed my local swimming pool remains closed and they don't know if they will open it again for the summer. I am an avid swimmer (I swim at least 4 times a week) and have not been able to swim for 2 months. So I decided it was time to consider open water as an option for my workout, but I'm only living in my 60's and lately 70 degree days. The lake is about 48, 50 degrees depending on how far you get from shore. I wanted to make sure I could stay in the water for more than an hour and not suffer from hypothermia, but I wasn't sure if I needed a 7mm or 5mm suit either, so I decided to just go with this one Try 4/3 suit for the price point. I went swimming for the first time today. The ambient temperature was about 65 degrees. The water in the lake was 48/50 degrees. This costume was amazing. I ordered 4 XLs because I am taller in every way and even if I lose weight my chest is large as are my arms and hips. The suit fitted almost perfectly. I had slight rolling in my arms, armpits, legs and perineum. Despite the slight distortion, the suit did its job perfectly. As I swam I felt heat emanating from my body in the suit and warm water between me, the suit and the lake. I swam for an hour and can say that I never felt cold in the water (except for the exposed parts of my face when I entered the water). In terms of physical form, I really felt the rush of water. in my lower back suit because the suit is a little big but insulates well and retains the warmth of the water. I'll change it down a size, but I'll stick with O'Neal. I can't say enough good things about this suit.
