They are fine after I modified them. Before that I could only catch one, maybe two strands before the body hit the rotor. In other words, the major diameter would not fit the hole in the rotor. Instead, it hit the front of the rotor. I have a 2005 BMW 330 by the way. I figured I could live with that by hand tightening them as much as possible. After hanging my fourth bike, I found thread damage on one of the hangers. Manual tightening did not help. I have a lathe so I reduced the first 1/8" of the main body to .560" and they work fine now. In the picture, I turned down the shiny part. Hanger in the background has thread damage. I rotated it 1/4", but it was more than I needed. A front hanger rotated back 1/8" works best.
