My opinion is based solely on the palette/gear not the paints themselves. When I opened it up and started inspecting the kit I realized that i send it back That's why I didn't test the colors. However, I note that there is no information on lightfastness. For some of us this is important. Although the description simply states that the colors "do not fade" I would imagine that if actual lightfastness tests were done and the results were good they would be proudly made available. Anyway, I have a few quibbles about the design of this kit. Individually they are insignificant. But in general it just made me look for another palette. 1) Actually, the palette itself is not closed. Both the lid and the additional mixing surface hang down as shown in the pictures. You cannot safely close the palette. That means you either have to close it with a rubber band if you want to use it separately from the case, or you can use it with the case alone. 2) Both ends of the case are not water tanks. There is only the floor. The top has an unnecessary and useless top which means there are holes making it difficult for the lid to hold water. As someone who uses a two-cup sink system and bought this excited by the prospect, this was disappointing. 3) The secondary mixing zone faces outwards. It doesn't close inward to look at the paintwork. It is folded under the pallet with the holes facing out. That means you have to clean and dry that area every time you're done painting, otherwise you're likely to end up with paint where you don't need it. It's just a cumbersome design choice. 4) The primary mixed area arrived on it with scratches and black marks. It just seems that the enamel coating is very thin and arrived already scraped off. It's hard to see in the picture. This is more pronounced than it seems. 5) My biggest disappointment was that the bird design is only on the palette. That is not the point. It looks that way because it is printed on the clear plastic box that the pallet comes in.
