***UPDATE*** Received a replacement, it came with everything, instruction manual, mouse was sealed, there were screws for the hard drive, the hard drive cables were disconnected from the unit, this means that they are already installed on the old one. The device was pretty easy to set up, I cut my finger on the thin metal body. Setup was really easy. It has many controls for the camera and display modes. I have an HDMI monitor and a regular VGA monitor but at 1080p. The BNC cables on the unit were difficult to screw in because they were so close together, but I managed. The phone app runs very smoothly compared to the old software. Can't resist getting a used unit against the product so I've upgraded it to 4 stars. My only real issue is that the tour mode setting is not as configurable as I would like. One note: I've found that a wireless mouse works with the unit, making setup a lot easier! What I get isn't that bad. The problem is that my NEW DVR came, I put the hard drive in the unit, spent time connecting it to the cameras and turning it on. He came right away, all my cameras worked. Everything was good. It alerted me to change the resolution for cameras, no problem. Well, I pressed the enter menu system, I wanted to check the quality of the recording, check the encoding, etc. I was asked for an administrator password, I first typed a space, then the word password, then I connected to the internet to find the default password. It seems to be configurable on first install so I went in to reset my password and it wanted to send the password to someone else's email address T****@gmail.com which wasn't mine . It seems that this person got it before me and did the installation. I contacted Revain support and they sent me a new one and hopefully this one will be new. From what I could see I liked the device. What I like is that it has a built-in fan. My complaint about the old one from another company was that it destroyed the hard drive because it got too hot.
