Review on ๐Ÿ ATLAS Throttle Assist - A Motorcycle Cruise Control Throttle Lock, TOP KIT by Robb Fillmore

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It took a while to install but so far so good.

Other reviews say this installs in minutes, I have by no means experienced the same. Proper installation and configuration took 45 minutes to an hour. I used the thickest pad, but a medium pad will do. Care must be taken to attach the bottom clip properly for it to function properly, and also care must be taken not to snap or twist the tiny screw that holds everything together. I was finally able to install it properly, but it took me a long time trying to adjust the clamp properly and hold everything in place to get the tiny screw in. I folded and rolled the rubber handle onto itself and used a zip tie to keep it folded while I installed the Atlas. It seems to have helped as long as I positioned and adjusted everything correctly. So far it does what it says on the tin, locking and holding the throttle, allowing you to take your right hand off the bars or just take some pressure off your wrist thanks to the strong permanent gas springs found on older GS models. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for the complicated installation process, plus it seems overpriced for what it actually is. The quality of the materials used in the construction of the part is very good, it appears to be very strong and durable.

Pros
  • . Nice to use.
Cons
  • . Unreliable.
