These retainers are precision machined with no burrs or tool marks such as indentations or punched holes. Perfectly smooth. Material - heavy aluminum plate. The finish is satin and I assumed clear iridite passivated or anodized. I used them as is but the surface can be painted if you wish. The price is great, especially considering you get the hardware (with appropriate T-nuts) to install with five bolts in 2020 profiles. My cube printer is extremely stable with these extra parts. Highly recommended.
