I'm tired of spending big bucks on replacement parts for Gillette's latest multi-blade wonder. I've found spring blades to be well-regarded and have a lower cost per shave. So I tried a combination of feather blade and razor. Sharp move! I find the Feather razor beautifully made with the right materials and easy to open, close and attach. With a single blade, the razor's resistance is much less than the multi-blade Gillette razor I've used. Also, the spring razor seems to limit the blade's protrusion, limiting the damage I can dish out without sacrificing sharpness. All in all, I get the same, if not better, shave without the increased risk of nicks and cuts - and for a lower price than with what I've been using before.
