Review on Gates 365570 Return Hose by Sam Kriegshauser

The hose was correct but the threads where it screws into the rack and pinion were damaged. We tried about 6 times until we found the threads wouldn't thread into the post so we removed it and installed the old line but used the new o-rings that came with this new line . I bought 5 other lines and shipped them over here to Hawaii from 48 states and they all fit with no problems but this one didn't work. Didn't want to return it as we opened it up and used 0 rings so we could return the old line (hose) which worked with no issues. We changed a total of 8 lines (hoses) that day and they all fit except for this one. All the other lines were gates too, I know the line was right but the threads were wrong or messed up. I had to finish the car so I had to do what I did to get the job done. I also replaced a few other hoses and we had no leaks and the car was done. I am a mechanic with over 35 years experience and have always relied on Gate hoses and belts but this one was bad but not wrong. The size and curves were correct, only threaded on one end. The box it came in was undamaged and the bag it came in was in perfect condition. It was just a broken line (hose). I'm glad it came with new o-rings so I could reinstall the old line which was still good. I just wanted to change all the lines, including hard lines, but in this case I had to put the old one back in, but that's ok. I will continue to buy and use Gate products as they are good hoses and belts.
