Review on πŸ“Š Milwaukee MW102 PH Temperature Meter: Reliable Accuracy for Precise pH and Temperature Measurements by Chef Buntiloy

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Extremely slow response time. Uncertainty about the accuracy of unbuffered solutions.

When I received it I calibrated using the 7.01 and 4.01 buffers per the instructions. I found that when rechecking the calibration in buffer solutions, it took at least a minute to stabilize. Because the meter does not drift during calibration, you must set the timer and trust it has stabilized before accepting the calibration. So I recalibrated it by letting it sit in each dilution for at least 2 minutes before accepting a value. This gave me more reproducible and accurate results. I then proceeded to measure the pH of a 450 ppm fertilizer solution. When measured with gentle shaking as directed, it took 15-20 minutes for the reading to stabilize. I'm not sure if this is normal or if I have a bad probe. Waiting 20 minutes is one thing, but standing and interfering for 20 minutes is uncomfortable. Especially when several measurements have to be carried out when adjusting the pH value of a solution.
