Installed and working.

I just installed these in the rear doors of my 2008 Chevrolet Impala LT. It was a bit of a learning curve as far as removing the door panel, placing the drive and bending the bar. The first wasn't perfect and didn't maneuver the lock properly (this would certainly have resulted in an early death of the device). The second seems spot on, no problem. Went back and fixed the first one and it's fine now - moved the threaded connector and bent the rod again. Strong performance compared to the form that standard drives were in. Tried installing one in the driver's door and quickly ran out of luck/patience. The two cables that were normally connected didn't seem to be providing power to the drive, and also turned off the entry lights and doorbell. I ended up calling there and reconnecting the normal wiring. I suspect that with the additional components involved in the driver's door panel, these actuators are far from ideal - leaving you pretty free to just stick with the OEM or aftermarket (NOT UNIVERSAL) actuators used for the Impala specific. Personally, I can physically unlock the driver's door when needed and avoid $100+ repairs and the sheer headache of installation right now. 4 packs are totally worth repairing 2 doors and avoiding the expense and labor associated with official OEM repairs. Would buy it again in a heartbeat if needed.
